Congrats Little Bro!

My little (ha, ha- he is 6'4") brother got engaged this last week. I am so excited for him. He is in the Air Force and they are going to be sending him to Korea in May for one year. There are two bases they could send him to- one that is family friendly and he could bring his new bride with him and one that is not and they would have to be separated for the first year of their marriage. I'm crossing my fingers for him.

Circus

We took the kids to the Circus last night. It was a lot of fun. I haven't been to the circus in so long I barely remember that I've been before and Jon has never been there at all. We got to get close to elephants and a bear without a cage between us. They also had some cool tigers and acrobatics done high in the air. The only regret of the night was I forgot my camera in my hurry to get out the door :( I used my phone to try and get a couple of pictures so they aren't the best.

First Quilt

This is my first quilt top. I've wanted to make a quilt for a long time since I saw one a roommate had made in college, but lacked the skills until recently to do it. This one is a twin size for Jacob who loves Lightening McQueen. I kept the design simple since I've never done this before. I send out a huge thanks to the nice lady at the fabric store who helped me design it and did the math on how much fabric I would need. Now to finish it. I have no idea how but am hoping with the help a of few friends and a wiki how or two I can figure it out. Wish me luck!

The Holidays

We had a good holiday break. We didn't go anywhere, but it was nice to just hang out and relax and not worry about anything. The picture is of the kids on Christmas Eve. They were so happy to get their Christmas jammies to sleep in while waiting for Santa. Their favorite Christmas presents this year are kind of geeky. They all wanted Star Wars Light Sabers so Santa brought them some. Sam declared that Santa must be a Jedi Knight for giving them such a good gift though he was a little disappointed that it didn't really cut things. I think mom can live with that though.

New Years was again kind of boring but relaxing at the same time. We just watched movies, noted when it was 2010 and went to bed.
