Spanish Learning

Thanks to some generous Christmas money I was able to get the kids something that I'd wanted to get them for a while- a Spanish language program for homeschoolers so they could learn Spanish at home since they don't get at it school and now is the best time to learn. I've been so excited about this! The kids were able to get started this week and have been really enjoying it and it's amazing how well they are picking it up for now. It's something we've all been able to do together.

Jon was telling the kids how in the MTC they would have Speak Your Language (SYL) to help practice the foreign language they were learning and how we could do that during dinners sometimes to get some extra practice. Then our dear Katie perks up without skipping a beat and says, "Then I'll say escuchame!" (which translates into "listen to me").

YAY! We also finally got the opp to give H some Spanish exposure. A friend of one of our (new!) preschool coop moms teaches Spanish for Head Start and has agreed to work with our kids. Happy Day!
