Be careful about studying physics, it will change the way you look at the world. This is a hybrid tree outside the county offices in downtown Provo. It is a beautiful tree. It is also an excelent example of torque. Look at the bottom two pictures; The branches are so thick and grow out at almost 90 degree angles from the trunk. As the branches get farther from the trunk, the torque on the joint gets larger, until it gets so large that they have to put supports under the branches to keep them from snapping off. Physics is everywhere, you just have to learn to recognize it.
